About Mandy Gossip — Your Physiotherapist in Johannesburg

Mandy (Amanda) Gossip gained

valuable work experience in a multidisciplinary practice treating both hospital and outpatients in Durban, until relocating to Johannesburg in 2000.

While in Johannesburg, she toured with the Sunshine Golf Tour for two seasons. Mandy then spent 10 years working in a private practice in Northcliff that was involved in the treatment of the junior Lions teams, where she treated players and gained valuable experience in the management of the young rugby players.

She also has experience working in the CTICU (cardiothoracic intensive care unit), managing patients recovering from heart and lung surgery. This background gives her a strong grounding in chest physiotherapy and post-operative respiratory care, an area many patients do not realise a physiotherapist in Johannesburg can help with.

Mandy was also associated with a junior dance studio, where she diagnosed and managed the injuries of the dancers and got them back onto the dance floor. Between rugby, golf, and dance, she has treated athletes of every age and level, and she has a special interest in the cervical spine, TMJ dysfunction, and post-operative orthopaedic care.

About Northcliff Physiotherapy — A Home-Based Physiotherapist in Johannesburg

Mandy completed her BSc (Physiotherapy) at UCT in 1995. She has over 20 years of experience in the profession, the last 16 in Johannesburg, and is well known in the Northcliff area, having worked from the Northcliff NHC medical centre for 10 years.

She started Northcliff Physiotherapy believing that a tranquil, home-based setting would benefit the “strung out” psyches of her Joburg clients almost as much as the physical therapy itself. It is a deliberate alternative to the rushed, clinical feel of a busy medical centre.

Her goal is to help you regain the full level of functionality and comfort you enjoyed prior to your injury, operation, or incident and keep it. To book an appointment with a physiotherapist in Johannesburg you can trust, get in touch with the practice today.
