About Mandy Gossip
Mandy (Amanda) Gossip gained valuable work experience working in a multidisciplinary practice which dealt with both hospital and out patients in Durban until 2000 when she relocated to Johannesburg.
While in Johannesburg she had the opportunity to tour with the Sunshine golf tour for 2 seasons. Mandy has spent the past 10 years working in a private practice (which was involved in the treatment of the junior Lions teams) in Northcliff. Here she had the opportunity to treat some of the players and gain valuable experience in the management of the young rugby player.
She has experience working in the CTICU.
She was associated with a junior dance studio. She diagnosed and managed the injuries of the dancers and got them back onto the dance floor.
About our newest member — Gabi Honsbein
Gabi is a qualified paediatric physiotherapist whose passion of working with children goes beyond developmental therapy and spans into paediatric orthopaedics, paediatric neurology and paediatric respiratory physio.
Gabi has been working in a multidisciplinary team in Johannesburg since 2017 and gained valuable experience from her fellow occupational therapy, speech therapy and educational psychology co-workers. She has also worked along side orthotists and paediatric neurologists to give her little humans the best possible care.
Gabi completed her BSc (Physiotherapy) degree at Stellenbosch in 2015 and started her paediatric specialisation with the Basic NDT qualifications in 2018 and her Advanced baby NDT qualification in 2020. She has also completed kinesio taping, aquatic physiotherapy and sensory integration courses to provide different modalities of therapy for her patients.
Gabi has experience in working with children with Cerebral Palsy and Down Syndrome as well as children diagnosed with Erbs Palsy, Torticollis/plagiocephally, Developmental Coordinative Disorder/Delay (DCD) and Congenital syndromes to name a few.
About Northcliff Physiotherapy
Mandy completed her Bsc (Physiotherapist) degree at UCT in 1995. She has over 20 years of experience in this profession, the last 16 spent in JHB. She is well-known in the Northcliff area, having worked from the Northcliff NHC medical centre for the past 10 years.
She started Northcliff Physiotherapy believing that a tranquil setting in a home-based practice will benefit the “strung out” psyches of her Joburg clients almost as much as the physical therapy!
Her goal is to help you regain your full level of functionality and comfort enjoyed prior to your injury/operation/incident. And keep it!
